I've just been so busy with physical therapy. 3 days in the pool and 2 days at the clinic. It's been interesting to get used to the schedule.
Friday was intresting. I went out to do some "shopping". We had gone over to Roger's gardens to see if they were doing the Easter goodies in plants yet. The were just getting started getting things out. I did see a hanging moss and ivy heart I liked. Wonder where I could get a form for making my own. We then went down to the little strip mall where Bristol Farms is as there is a kitchen shop. I wanted another one of those metal racks for next tot he stove. W e l l. . . next time remind me to wear more "bling bling". The clerk said they didn't carry them but got them from the Containor shop, and if we needed "cheaper" Home Depot has the cheap kinds. I think her and said it was just to bad they didn't have them, as I was also in the market for a new toster oven, and she was just going to lose out a big sale. Off we went to "Crystal court" or the little South Coast mall all the way across town.
I sure do confuse hubby by the way I take the back routes. The freeway was already crowded. The containor shop first at Metro Point, got the rack!!! Then over to Crate and Barrel for the toster oven. We had just parked and gotten out of the car when an senior gentleman crossing the parking lot fell. Hubby and I and another younger couple were right there! I was impressed that the much younger couple helped. We all got the gentlemen up, got his shopping bags, and made sure he got to his car ok. He looked ok and was walking on his own. Wow! feels good to help! Going intot he side entrance I noticed several other people sitting in their car and must have watched what had happened. No emotions, just that air of "I don't get involved". But, it sure made me feel good to know I was there to do what I could.
Well, I got my new toaster oven!!! A Krups. It toasts, broils, bakes and is even a convection oven. Hey, with only the two of us, sometimes warming up the entire oven isn't an option!!! These little toaster ovens are great. And besides, the last one lasted for 30 years!!!!
Later as I was sitting on the couch doing some crochet, I realized how many things I have crocheted since last June when mother began her downwards spiral. WOW, I will just have to take a photo and post it. I guess for me keeping my hands busy, is how I deal with most of my stress. I got a lot of great purses and things done. Right now I am doing "teapot motif" trivits. They are crochet, then they are suppost to be felted. Will do some felting today! They are really cute!!
