By ROBERT JABLON, Associated Press Writer1 minute ago Scattered minor damage and a few minor injuries have been reported in the aftermath of an earthquake that was strongly felt across Southern California. The magnitude-5.4 jolt struck at 11:42 a.m. Tuesday and was felt from Los Angeles south to San Diego, and as far east as Las Vegas. The quake — considered moderate — was centered 29 miles southeast of downtown Los Angeles near the city of Chino Hills. The state Office of Emergency Services in Sacramento reports scattered minor infrastructure damage, including broken water mains and gas lines. Freeway traffic appears normal. Acting mayor Wendy Greuel says minor structural damage has been reported throughout Los Angeles, along with five minor injuries and people stuck in elevators. We're ok as we were a bit of distance from the center. We were done on Balboa Island, at the Legion Hall watching the boats in the bay. Sitting in the car it felt like we were being shook from side to side. Seemed like it went on for a couple of minutes. Kind of like that bumper sticker: "If we're rocking, don't come knocking". But "we" weren't doing any of the rocking. LOL
Yep, nothing in my colon that shouldn't be there. No polyps, no cancers, just a nice good looking colon. LOL What can I say. I was very nervous when I went in. I think it was due to hubby's troubles and his surgery. With my doc I didn't even have to go to the hospital. This doc and a couple others have their own clinic now just for doing colonoscopies. Nice office too. I went back to the prep room, got my Bp and an iv. Then we were off to the surgery room, where they gave me a nice relaxing "snore" drug. The next thing I knew I was back in the prep room. The nurses make sure one is awake, then see if you can drink some water and let you know the results of your test. . As you get steady, you can get dressed, stand and off to the wheelchair and home!!!! Whole thing took about an hour and a half.
